Maid Marian

She ran, ran, with all of her might.  She ran, ran, straight into the night.

Running from what? She could not mention.

Running towards whom? To her destination.

She ran, ran, with all of her might.  She ran, ran, straight into the night.

She bounded over boulders, she dashed through ditches.

She climbed snake filled canyons and blew past witches.

She ran, ran, with all of her might.  She ran, ran, straight into the night.

She veered left from evil and right towards merry men.

She side stepped Gisbourne and deflected Nottingham.

She ran, ran, with all of her might.  She ran, ran, straight into the night.

Sherwood Forest, where she was moon struck,

Would also shelter Little John and Friar Tuck.

She ran, ran, with all of her might.  She ran, ran, straight into the night.

She needs her Robin, more alive than dead.

She thanks Sir Lionheart on the day that they are wed.

This is my submission for the FFAW Challenge.  Thanks for reading!
